Shift indicator would be either PRNDL PNDLR ....Cast Iron Power-Glides had two different sequences in 55 and 56. In 57 came the Abortion to End All Abortions, the TURBO_GLIDE...P-R-N-D-L-Gr...Gr was 'Grade Retard' because the TG provided NO engine braking, it free-wheeled down hills.
It's a '55, but updated with a modern transmission. People do this sort of thing all the time with their cars, and the shift indicator just makes the whole job look so much better.

'55 or '56 with aftermarket insert after the builder installed a 3-speed automatic of some kind. (Turbo 350 or 400 I'm guessing.)
