It's 42 degrees right now

42 fucking degrees.

I wonder what the forecast was.

May 2021 temperature outlook warmer than average conditions anticipated

Notable changes have been made to the May temperature forecast across the Lower 48, although a very warm May is still expected.

Temperatures will be the greatest above average in parts of the Midwest, South and East, instead of the Plains and Four Corners region, compared to the outlook issued earlier in April.

Parts of the West, particularly the Northwest, are the areas of the contiguous U.S. that may trend near to slightly cooler than average.

The best and the brightest only play is it's always warmer.

They play with the numbers and still a giant miss.

It's gonna take a lot of heat quick to bring those avg temps up.

Or maybe they will just do what they always do.

Throw numbers at a computer until the numbers say what the commies want them to say.

The avg low temp for my area in May is 55 degrees I looked.

If we've had a morning over 55 I missed it.

It's fucking cold in Alabama.

Good thing I ain't relying on my garden this year.

That is all you global warming deniers.

  1. It is 46 F here in northwest Alabama this morning. We had a few frosts in April, but not as many as I have seen in some years past. I was told a good "rule of thumb" in regards to planting a garden years ago by an older gentlemen who always seem to have much success with his gardening endeavors. He never planted anything before May the 10th. I am not talking about planting greens, potatoes, or onions in late Feb. or early March, but beans, peas, tomatoes, peppers, corn and the like. More times than not planting these types of sprouts or seeds earlier than May 10th, they will just sit there till the ground warms. Of course, one can plant by the signs, Also, one can get "lucky" and get a few things up planting on Good Friday. However more times than not, the average temperature of the soil is not warm enough to foster any significant growth.
